Meet our new Parks & Rec Coordinator!
Thanks to a Community Center Grant from the MI Dept. of Labor & Economic Opportunity, we were able to hire our new Parks and Recreation Coordinator, Morgan Most! Morgan will be developing our new Recreation Department, which will provide new opportunities for outdoor recreational activities within our city parks as well as expand the recreational offerings hosted by the Alma Public Library. Morgan earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Studies from Alma College and has a background in parks and recreation. Summer Camp
Summer Fun in Store with Parks and Recreation Day Camps
Alma Parks and Recreation is excited to announce a new summer camp program, offering kids in the community a chance to play, learn, and grow in the park. Running Monday through Thursday, June 16 to August 7, these camps are packed with activities designed to keep kids engaged all summer long.
Camps will be held at Wright Park, with two age groups available: ages 6–8 attend from 9 AM to 12 PM, and ages 9–12 join from 1 PM to 4 PM. Both age groups will enjoy playing with their peers and activities designed to fit their interests.
Whether your child loves outdoor games, crafts, or just spending time with friends in the sun, these camps offer a safe and supportive environment to enjoy summer to the fullest. The best part for families is that there's no cost to participate.
Registration opens May 20, and spots are limited. A full camp guide with policies and procedures can be downloaded from our registration website under program registration info.
For any questions, you can also reach out directly via email at parksandrec@myalma.org.
Let the summer adventures begin!
